Groundislava - Book Of Tech

Ok, for anybody who has checked out the blog recently hoping to grab some more free shit I'd like to say I'm sorry for not updating one little bit of this blog at all.
Now follows a small list of excuses:
1. Internet connection problems
2. Lack of free shit
3. Ultra busy schedule
4. Lazy ass (in between ultra business)

This could even be the only post I make in April, depending on whether I get my new connection sorted at home or not. I am doing this blog single handedly, if anybody wants to help, please feel free, let me know.

So without further ado let's download this FREE glitchy 8-bit EP from Groundislava (what a great name). Some killer tracks, and although you might be getting sick of this 8-bit wonky glitch fest, this is really worth checking out. As Borat would say, "It's niiiice."

Check out Groundislava on Soundcloud.

Peace.

Jamie Woon - Lady Luck (Royce Wood Junior Remix)

Lady Luck is the new single out from Jamie Woon, South London vocalist (see his Myspace) who has collaborated with some of the masters of the industry including one of idols Burial, coincidently this download is reminiscent of a Burial production in parts. Here is a nice remix up for grabs by Royce Wood Junior who you can also check out on Soundcloud.

Dpeee - The Zodiac : Cosmic Sounds

Sorry to have been absent for a while people. I'm thinking I won't put up many posts in March, I'll be gathering my ammo, and tending to my life from month to month (which is quite important) so don't be surprised if the rate of my posts severely fluctuates during the course of the year. And speaking of space and time...

Cosmic Sounds is a lush broken hip-hop medley with a celestial star sign theme running throughout. You guessed it, there's twelve tracks on the album and they are each assigned to a symbol of the zodiac. Based on and heavily sampled from the 1967 psychedelic rock album with the same title, released on Elektra Records, Dpeee makes great use of the eerie vocal samples and other mystical sounds heard on the original. So sit back, relax and absorb the sounds of the multi-verse.

Enjoy.

Pixelord - Lucid Freaks Pt. 2

(192kbps only)

This is Pixelord's Lucid Freaks part two, the remixes. The album has eleven tracks, all remixes of the original four from Lucid Freaks part one. Its definitely decent, wonky, glitched up stuff and gets better towards the end in my opinion but the whole thing is of a good enough standard for me, or I wouldn't be puttin' it up here, would I?

With remixes from Russian producers DZA, Demokracy, OL and Miracle Labido. Hailing from the US, AshTreJenkins and Chocolate Girl. From the Netherlands, Coco Bryce and Jameszoo and finally Austria based producer Abby Lee Tee also drops a mix.

These Lucid Freaks albums (Pt. 1 & 2) are free at 192kbps, so if you want them in all their full 320kbps glory then you will be asked to shell out some cash if you don't mind.
They are available at Error Broadcast.

Hope ya feelin' it!

Esque 1983 - Hit That! (Video Game Remixes)

14 sweet tracks worth of hip-hop video game remixes. Need I say more!?

Esque is also with us on MyspaceSoundcloud or Facebook... Well worth checking him out for a shed load of nice beats.

Its late and I seriously can't be bothered to write any more. So then, I will leave you with this rather funky, psychedelic 8bit cat.

Shigeto - What We Held On To EP

Hey there, I'm back again with another FREE album for ya'll. This time its the marvellous work of Shigeto. This EP contains some damn well produced, richly textured, experimental hip-hop. Reminds me of some of the stuff on FlyLo's L.A. EPs from a while back.

The album has been available for free since July last year.

Shigeto has absolutely loads of stuff for you to check out, so if you want, swing by his Soundcloud or perhaps his Myspace, and submerge yourself in sweet sound. He even has a Facebook page crammed full of info.

Pixelord - Lucid Freaks Pt. 1

FREE DOWNLOAD
(192kbps only)

Now then, although I did say more Pixelord was to come soon, I would have preferred it a bit sooner. You'll have to excuse the delay, I've just moved into a new room and been shifting a bunch of stuff and building wardrobes etc.

So here it is Pixelord's very fine four track album. Demonstrating more blips, bleeps, beats, bass and SNES style samples. My favourite track on one entitled Quartz Boy, takes you to an ecstasy dream world. Great synth work and amazing, euphoric vocal effects. If the rest of the album isn't to your liking, I guarantee this one will be worth your time. Download the album now with a simple click on the click provided!

...And here is an extra little bonus track, something a bit darker from our friend:

Pixelord - Magic Firn

Enjoy! Peace.

Pixelord - Fish Touch/Tron Legacy

FREE DOWNLOADS

-

Pixelord, hailing from Moscow Russia, brings to you a variety of bass led beats and glitchy goodness. I've posted here for you two of my favourites. Fish Touch (Tropical VIP) is a 2step, funky, synth mash up, whilst Tron Legacy (Pixelord Remix) is a three minute dubstep take on the Tron theme tune. Can't go wrong really.

Check him out on Soundcloud.

More Pixelord coming real soon.

Quarta330 - MO'ZX EP

Yeah, this is Quarta330's sick free two track EP, it has been available to download for a long long time on Japanese label Maltine Records (which has a bunch of other free releases) its a goodie so I thought I'd whack it up here. ASUTATA50 is a deep baseline dubstep track which, for some reason reminds me of an episode of Star Trek. The other track, Ahirskew was once described to me by a friend as "a gameboy dying". Both really nice and well worth the disc space.

Enjoy!

Mndsgn - StatikMumblin

Check out this collection of "loose joints and refunks" from 2010, including reworks of tracks by Elan, Tokimonsta, Take, Dam-Funk, Quelle and Thom Yorke. I really like the track entitled Potholes, which reminds me of something from the Final Fantasy VII sound track. Some smooth, enjoyable sounds here.

Why not have a look at Mndsgn's Bandcamp or Soundcloud whilst you're at it!?

Peace.

prof.logik - Space Debris

Incoming transmission... Stand by.

Space Debris is entering our atmosphere!
This is the first free release from prof.logik (check out his Soundcloud). I didn't post them in chronological order, I was just too excited about Audible Palindrome, I couldn't help myself.

So, this six track album is more skweee-ish style hip-hop beats, some of it is kinda reminiscent of Samiyam's Rap Beats Vol. 1, only it has a space adventure theme! What could be better? Brilliant.

Prepare yourself for an interstellar flight to another galaxy.

...Over and out.

prof.logik - Audible Palindrome

So, I'm just kicking back listening to Flying Lotus sitting in for Benji B on Radio 1 right now. Sweet!

But before that I was listening to THIS... and daaaaamn, what an album! My favourite track is a little gem called BiT bY bIt. Really feeling that 8bit funk at the moment.
What are you waiting for? Download the whole album for free! Let me know what your favourite track is...

And if you have a second or two to spare, check out prof.logik's Soundcloud and Myspace.

Peace!

devonwho - 3P

devonwho (no capital D here please) produces some real innovative, experimental, wonky hip-hop. This 3 track release from back in 2009 is the only free material I can find from this guy. But damn, just the first track 'glow' alone is a good enough reason to click on the link above. Try it. It might change your life for the better.

Also check out devonwho on Soundcloud and Bandcamp.

Peace.

eLan - Magnificent Mistakes EP

So here we have eLan's 2009 beat compilation. I know its old, but its still great, wonky, triptastic hip-hop. Hence my posting. I want to have all the free beats and albums in one place for convenience sake. I hope you guys benefit from it too!

Peace.

eLan - famLay

Are you ready for something special? I hope you are.
Check out this 2010 beat tape from eLan, who's squelchy, glitchy brand of hip-hop is definitely soul food. So from eLan to you, via me, here is famLay, a nice example of what eLan and friends can achieve when they got the itch to make some of that funky glitch. Oh yes, and its free. Of course.

Take a peek at eLan's Soundcloud and Myspace.

Enjoy.

Indigo Pyramid - Indigo Shades

Another free beat tape, this time from the Indigo Pyramid crew. This one dropped early last year, a compilation of experimental, electronic hip-hop to set ya mind free! Massive props to the guys at Indigo Pyramid for putting this together. Looking forward to the release of Indigo Shades Vol 2.
This album features beats from producers such as Infinite Potentials, Billion Dollar Quartet, Shlohmo, 0., Elan, 10thLetter and Nigel One.

Check out the Indigo Pyramid Soundcloud.

------------

Also, here is a special treat in the form of some hard to find remixes from these guys. Download HERE.

And... another extra extra extra special treat. The aptly named 8bitITAL_LION, a free track from Infinite Potentials, the man behind it all. You can find that HERE!

Peace and love.

Pogflipper - Momentarily Lost

The new album Momentarily Lost is a nine track journey into the mind of the Pogflipper.
Expect uplifting synth melodies talking to sentient space beings and subtle levels of conciousness. Experimental music with a real organic feel.
Absolutely FREE to download out of pure love.

Big up Alex.
Check Pogflipper's Soundcloud and Myspace.

Peace.
